The night of the garden

Bahr El Nakheel · Sakkara, Giza

The names

Two names, one garden

Yasmine is the jasmine that opens after dark, and Kareem is the one who gives without being asked. Their families have kept the same garden in Sakkara for three generations, and the palms in it are older than all of them.

How it happened

  1. 01Autumn 2023

    The wrong table

They were seated at the same table at a friend’s engagement by an error in the plan, and neither of them moved.

  2. 02Spring 2025

    The Fatiha

Both families in one room in Heliopolis, and a quiet reading that took less than a minute.

  3. 03Winter 2026

    The garden, again

They walked the ground at Sakkara in December and decided the palms would stay exactly where they are.

Let them know

On a real suite this is where guests reply — a private link per household, chased on WhatsApp, with the list handed to your planner as a spreadsheet. It is switched off here, because a sample suite would be collecting replies for a couple who does not exist.

Come as you are, and stay as long as the palms will let you.

A farah suite in the garden register: teal ground, a moonlit pavilion, planting that runs off every edge.

Two things on this page are priced separately from the site: the story in chapters, and the reply list. Both are drawn in so you can see what they do — the replies are not being collected, because the couple is invented.
