Omar Dawoud. I answer the messages and I draw the work — and when there is a press run, I intend to be at the press for it. There is nobody to be handed to.

A portrait belongs here, and there will be one. It is not up yet, and a rectangle pretending to be a photograph would be a worse answer than this sentence.

Why the name

Dawoud is a family name. Putting it on the door is a way of saying that one person is answerable for the work, which at this price is the only guarantee worth offering. Maison, because what is sold is not a card but a house style — one visual language drawn once and carried across a save the date, a film, a printed suite, a site, and the pieces on the night.
